Terms of use

Last updated: 10 October 2026

BimmerTuner is run by an enthusiast, not a professional workshop or a BMW dealer. These terms cover the whole site, its files and the remote help.

Everything is provided as is

Posts, files (maps, datalogs, coding sheets, the Windows image) and remote help are shared by an amateur, for information. They come as is, with no guarantee that they're correct, complete or right for your car, and with no strings attached. Advice is advice: what you do with it is up to you.

Your car, your call

  • Coding, flashing and tuning can damage a car or leave it unable to start. Check that a guide fits your model, back up before you change anything and keep a stable power supply connected.
  • Changes can void the manufacturer's warranty, and you may have to tell your insurer about them.
  • Some changes make a car illegal on public roads unless they're approved. Checking that is up to you.

Remote help

Remote help works the same way: you decide what gets changed on your car, you can end a session at any time, and there's no guarantee of a result. Anything in return, money or otherwise, is agreed by email before we start.

Liability

As far as the law allows, bimmertuner.com isn't liable for damage that comes from using the site, its files or the remote help. Nothing here limits liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited.

Donations

Donations through PayPal are voluntary gifts. They don't buy anything: no access, files, support or guarantee.

Copyright

The texts are © bimmertuner.com. Quoting with a link to the original post is welcome; republishing posts or files elsewhere isn't.
