PSdZData 4.61.41 Full and E-Sys 25.10.03 are both free to download from this post, along with an installation guide. PSdZData 4.61.41 goes up to I-Step 26-07, so it covers cars that were programmed as late as July 2026, from the old F-series all the way to the first Neue Klasse targets. Full means it has everything: the coding data and the module software for flashing.

Check your free disk space before you start. PSdZData is one 129 GB file, and it unpacks to 317 GB.

Almost all of that is flash software. The module firmware folders (SWFL and SWFK) take up 265 GB on their own. The CAFDs that coding works from are only half a gigabyte. That gap is the reason Lite exists, and our PSdZData Full vs Lite guide explains which one you need. Full does both jobs, so if you're not sure, it's the safe pick.

E-Sys 25.10.03

The E-Sys download is the 64-bit installer with Java 11 built in, packed as a 126 MB .7z. Its MD5 is 20f7443b85a73a9a3a39708db84a8f6f.

You need a recent E-Sys for data this new. shawnsheridan's instructions put it plainly: newer PSdZData needs a newer E-Sys, so don't pair 4.61.41 with an old one. Newer versions also don't need an .est token for FDL coding.

One thing it won't fix: BMW trims the descriptions out of every CAFD, so FDL coding still needs a mapping tool such as BimmerUtility to put the names back. VO coding, CAFD injection and flashing work in E-Sys alone. The update guide has more on the dots and bare numbers you see without one.

Which Cars It Covers

E-Sys sorts cars into connection targets, and this release has 23 of them. Each one comes with two I-Steps, 26-03 and 26-07.

Also in the package: G065 and the BMW Motorrad targets K001, KE01, KS01, X001 and XS01.

Not sure where your car fits? Its own I-Step tells you. In E-Sys, go to Expert Mode → VCM, open the Master tab and click Read. I-Step (current) starts with the target name, for example F020-24-03-550. Our iDrive software guide shows that screen. If the date in the middle is 26-07 or older, this PSdZData is new enough for the car.

Before You Download

  • Free space. 129 GB for the archive plus 317 GB unpacked, so about 450 GB if both sit on the same drive. You can delete the .7z once it's unpacked. Our laptop guide has more on disk sizes.
  • The right drive. The archive is a single 129 GB file, so save it to an NTFS or exFAT drive. A FAT32 USB stick stops at 4 GB per file.
  • Time. At 100 Mbit/s the download takes about three hours, at 50 Mbit/s about six.
  • Resume, don't restart. Our server supports resuming. If the download stops halfway, click Resume in your browser's download list instead of starting over. A download manager does that for you.

How to Install It

  1. Check the downloads. Open PowerShell in your download folder and run Get-FileHash .\PSdZData-4.61.41-Full.7z -Algorithm MD5. The hash has to match the MD5 above (upper or lower case doesn't matter). It takes a while on 129 GB, but it's better to find a broken download before you delete a working PSdZData. Do the same for the E-Sys file.
  2. Install E-Sys. Uninstall any older E-Sys first, under Settings → Apps → Installed apps. Unpack the E-Sys .7z with 7-Zip and run the setup. Keep the default program folder (C:\EC-Apps\ESG\E-Sys) and the default data path (C:\Data), and click Yes if it asks to overwrite existing files.
  3. Remove the old PSdZData. Close E-Sys and move your old C:\Data\psdzdata out of C:\Data, or delete it. Never merge old and new. Our PSdZData update guide explains why.
  4. Extract PSdZData into C:\Data. The archive already contains the psdzdata folder, so you end up with C:\Data\psdzdata. Extract it into C:\Data\psdzdata instead and you get a psdzdata folder inside another one, which E-Sys can't read.
  5. Check the settings. Start E-Sys and open Options → Settings. On the Program tab the Data path has to be C:\Data. On the Options tab, untick Update VCM after TAL execution and Update MSM after TAL execution.
  6. Open the connection window. The target list should now show the 26-07 I-Steps. Pick the target without _DIRECT at the end, and if a target has two I-Steps, the newer one at the bottom.

The attached instructions take it from there: connecting over ENET, backing up your FA and SVT the first time, and VO and FDL coding step by step. If Connection via VIN stays greyed out, see our no ZGW guide.

Real-time antivirus scanning makes unpacking 135,000 files a lot slower, and a few tool files get flagged by mistake. Our coding laptop guide shows how to keep Defender out of your tool folders.

FAQ

Do I need this if my coding already works?

No. If E-Sys reads the car and codes what you want, there's nothing to gain. Update when you get CAFD not found, when the dealer has programmed the car past your current data, or when you want to flash a module.

Is there a Lite version?

We only host Full. It codes exactly like Lite does, it's just a bigger download.

Can I flash modules with it?

Yes, that's what Full is for. Our E-Sys flashing guide and the NBT EVO iStep update walk through it. Keep the car on a proper power supply the whole time.

Does it change anything in the car?

No. It only puts files on your laptop. Nothing in the car changes until you code or flash.

Rather not deal with 317 GB yourself? We can set it up for you in a remote session.

The attached E-Sys installation instructions (v.18) are shawnsheridan's, and so are the version rules in this post. The target table comes from eszett's E-Sys target selection list on DRIVE2, which matches the list in shawnsheridan's guide. Thanks to both.
