On an F30, F31 or F32, FEM_BODY is the front electronic module. It runs the lights, the locks, the windows, the mirrors and a long list of comfort functions, which is why most FDL coding starts there. Its parameters have German names that tell you almost nothing until you know the handful of words they're built from.
This is every FEM_BODY line in Halsifer's cheat sheet, sorted by the group you find it under in E-Sys, with the default, the value people change it to and what it does.
Based on Halsifer's F30/F32 Coding Reference Guide v1.7, from the F30post thread Super Cheat Sheet - PDF Attached!.
How to Read the Names
In the FDL editor, each module has a CAFD, each CAFD has numbered groups (3023 TcMaster2, for example) and each group holds parameters. A value is either a word like aktiv or a number after werte. The numbers are hexadecimal: 0A is 10, 14 is 20, 32 is 50, 64 is 100 and FF is 255.
| In the name | Means |
|---|---|
| aktiv, nicht_aktiv | on, off |
| werte, wert | value |
| TFL | Tagfahrlicht, daytime running lights |
| NSW, NSL | front fog lights, rear fog light |
| FRA | turn signal (V and H for front and rear, L and R for left and right) |
| FH, TUERAUF | window, door open |
| ASP, AUSKLAPPEN, BEIKLAPPEN | door mirror, unfold, fold |
| KOMFORT_OEFF, KOMFORT_SCHL | comfort opening, comfort closing |
| QUITTBLK | confirmation flash of the indicators |
| MSA | auto start-stop |
| KALTUEBERWACHUNG, WARMUEBERWACHUNG | cold and warm bulb monitoring |
Halsifer's advice before you change anything: VO code first. VO coding puts every value back to its default, so FDL changes made before it are lost. Our F30 coding list shows how to read and save the coding data before you start.

| Group | Parameter | Default | Change to | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3020 | TCM_LOGIC_R_OFF_DOOR | nicht_aktiv | aktiv | Radio and navigation switch off when the driver's door opens |

| 3050 | FH_TUERAUF_STOP_MAUT | aktiv | nicht_aktiv | Front windows keep closing with the door open (REM has the same line for the rear) |
| 3053 | KOMFORT_OEFFNEN | werte=0F | werte=0A | Delay before comfort opening starts on the key or Comfort Access |
| 3053 | KOMFORT_OEFF_HINTEN | werte=05 | your value | Delay between front and rear windows when opening |
| 3053 | KOMFORT_OEFF_SHD | werte=23 | your value | Delay between rear windows and sunroof when opening |
| 3053 | KOMFORT_SCHLIESSEN | werte=0F | werte=00 | Delay before comfort closing starts |

| 3053 | KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_FB | nicht_aktiv | aktiv | Holding lock on the key closes the windows and folds the mirrors |
| 3110 | ASP_AUSKLAPPEN_NACH_KOMFORTSCHLIESSEN | nicht_aktiv | aktiv | Mirrors unfold when you unlock with the key or Comfort Access |
| 3110 | ASP_BEIKLAPPEN_BEI_KOMFORTSCHLIESSEN | nicht_aktiv | aktiv | Mirrors fold when you hold lock |
| 3110 | ASP_GESCHWINDIGKEIT_AUTO_AUSKLAPPEN | 28 (40 km/h) | 14 (20 km/h) | Speed at which folded mirrors unfold by themselves |
| 3110 | ASP_MAX_GESCHWINDIGKEIT_BEIKLAPPEN | 14 (20 km/h) | FF (255 km/h) | Top speed at which the mirrors will still fold |
The last two belong together. Halsifer's note on them: ASP_MAX_GESCHWINDIGKEIT_BEIKLAPPEN requires ASP_GESCHWINDIGKEIT_AUTO_AUSKLAPPEN to be the same or a higher value, so change them as a pair.
Lights
| Group | Parameter | Default | Change to | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3050 | NSW_AUS_BEI_FL | aktiv | nicht_aktiv | Fog lights stay on with high beam |

Cornering lights
Front fog lights are required. All six lines go together: C_CLC_ENA to F030enable and C_BLC_ENA to aktiv (both 3073), KL_ENABLE_LI (3066) and KL_ENABLE_RE (3073) to KL_Ein, and MAPPING_abbiegel_L_output and MAPPING_abbiegel_R_output (3062) to nsw_l and nsw_r.
LED turn signal bulbs
Group 3061 has three lines per corner: FRA_V_L_KALTUEBERWACHUNG and FRA_V_L_WARMUEBERWACHUNG to nicht_aktiv, FRA_V_L_IS_LED to aktiv, and the same for V_R, H_L and H_R. They stop the bulb check pulse that makes LED bulbs flicker. Halsifer's warning: the rear IS_LED lines may bring up a check engine light.
High beam assistant
After the VO coding for anti-dazzle high beams, four FEM_BODY values set its speeds: C_HBA_ENA_V_HI and C_HBA_ENA_V_LO (on and off), C_HBA_HGWY_V_HI (motorway mode on, default 8C, 140 km/h) and C_HBA_HGWY_V_LO (motorway mode off, default 5A, 90 km/h). The sheet doesn't give their group.
FAQ
My FEM_BODY doesn't show these names, only numbers.
That's E-Sys without its Launcher, or an old one. Our PSdZData update guide explains why the names go missing.
Do these work on other F-series cars?
The names are often the same on cars with a FEM, but the groups and defaults on this list are from F30 and F32 cars. Check what your own FDL editor shows before you change a value.
The attached one-page PDF has the most-changed lines and the German key. For the rest of the F30 list, open Halsifer's cheat sheet, or we can do the coding in a remote session.
